Summary of Role / Job Description:
Providing engineering and/or Product Supply Lead representation within project teams that develop, commercialize, and launch new and restaged items made at manufacturing contractor and/or moulded parts suppliers.
Product Supply lead new/restage product teams for assigned projects including new mould.
Provide Product Supply interface for other key areas including RD&E, Finance, Marketing, & other SCJ Manufacturing sites.
Partner with Procurement and Global/ Regional Tec. Service functions to evaluate potential suppliers capabilities, equipment, manufacturing processes.
Interact with Marketing Commercialization representatives and relevant Product Supply functions.
Support the drawing up of technical documents necessary to preliminary check manufacturing feasibility and receive quotation.
Manage, troubleshoot, and implement new moulds/production lines at SCJ suppliers.
Lead in determining manufacturing feasibility.
Responsible for estimating MEA amounts and capital project execution. Support start-up efforts.
Coordinate activities and plan to finalise PLQ ensuring follow up with Engineering Management.
Support activities for engineering projects and ensure technical support at contractors.
Liaise with the technical team to validate process and conduct process capability studies.
Promote and support lean activities and waste reductions.
Lead the process improvement activities within Engineering outside operation as well as support skill development within the engineering team.
Bachelors degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
Knowledge of FMCG environment.
Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing/Technical experience with good understanding of manufacturing operations technologies, capabilities and process limitations.
Deep experience in Contract Manufacturing environment and/or molding operation is a distinctive advantage.
