Job Description
The role is a key member of the Operations team that supports the Legal department’s onboarding program. The specific responsibilities include sending communications to both the hiring manager and new hire, submitting and monitoring all requests to provision Legal applications, fielding questions from the hiring managers and new hires, performing licensing validations for impending attorney hires and conflicts checks for all hires, and providing metrics and reporting monthly. Coordination with key internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues to direct manager timely, and providing regular progress reports on new initiatives will be critical. The Associate will work closely with employees across the department including senior managers and the Legal Concierge Desk who supports legal applications.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with demonstrated experience in legal operations, professional and seasoned “client-facing” skills and an innovative and process improvement mindset. Candidates for this role should be highly-motivated, self-starters. The candidate will work closely with all levels of staff across the Legal Department, so strong written and oral communication skills are a must.


• Coordinate onboarding Communications with hiring manager and new hires/transfer
• Validating new hires are provisioned with proper workstation per department guidelines
• Submitting Legal application access requests and monitoring to completion
• Fielding general questions from both hiring manager and new hire/transfer
• Performing license validations for impending attorney hires
• Conducting conflict checks, where required, for impending hires
• Providing metrics and reporting monthly
• Other duties as assigned by direct manager

• BA in business administration, human resources or relevant experience in a related field
• 3+ years of experience in legal, financial, or administrative operations
• Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English required (English proficiency and skill testing may apply)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of JPMC Intranet, Ariba, Request Center and RSAM highly desired
• Familiarity with financial services industry and/or the legal industry
• Project management skills with attention to detail, timing, deadlines and organization
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to be proactive, including escalating issues and proposing solutions
• Proven record of success in a related role
• Ability to work independently and on a fast-paced collaborative team
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities
• Driven, enthusiastic and positive “can-do” attitude
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Comfortable interacting varying levels of management and providing appropriate consultation to managers or stakeholders when appropriate
• All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment

Preferred Skills
• Prior experience in financial services, particularly in the areas of legal or compliance operations
• Knowledge of SharePoint
