·         Summary of Role / Job Description:

The Jr Analyst, Payroll, HR Operations is responsible for supporting the effective and efficient delivery of payroll, ensuring timely processing and compliance to standard payroll processes. S/he will perform inquiry management/resolution, transaction processing and general customer service. 

 

·         Primary Accountabilities:

§  Support Payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees’ payroll for countries supported

§  Ensure data from Workday and non-Workday data is collated and transferred to the Local Country Payroll Vendor (LCPV)

§  Support payroll software upgrades to ensure that the system is updated as per legal and statutory requirements

§  Address employees’ concerns and queries in a timely manner

§  Responsible for the compilation and update of related payroll tools e.g., Country payroll manuals, wage type catalogues, process flows and payroll calendars

§  Work with internal SCJ areas (i.e., Finance, Treasury, etc.) in order to process bank files and finalize the payroll process

 

·         Qualifications:

§  Knowledge of payroll processes and procedures

§  Strong analytical skills as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and operate efficiently under continuous change

§  Proficient with Microsoft Office software (excel) and ideally having worked with multiple technologies (e.g. HRIS System, Workday, SAP)

§  Strong drive for results, accuracy and control compliance

§  The ability to use initiative and be proactive in anticipating problems which may occur

§  Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high level of confidentiality

§  Skilled in developing professional relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and peers

§  High degree of process orientation and improvement mindset

§  Strong customer service orientation

§  Bachelor’s degree or advanced students in business, HR, or related discipline required

§  1-year payroll experience, HR Shared Services background preferred
