Summary: The U.S. Mission in Argentina is seeking eligible and qualified applicants (2) for the position of Chauffeur
Salary: (USD) 9,677.00 (Gross Per Year, payable in Argentine Pesos, at the ongoing midpoint (buy-sell) official rate of exchange)
The work schedule for these positions are Full Time (40 hours per week).
The schedule will be a rotational schedule modified every per pay period (14 calendar days).
Shift schedules can include the following times: 7:00 -16:00 or 9:00 -18:00.
Duties: Responsible for the safe and secure operation of vehicles while transporting Department of Defense (DoD) personnel to and from the U.S. Embassy for official business. Responsible for the personal protection and safety of passengers, other agency VIPs and Defense Attaché Office personnel to and from official meetings and functions. Ensures 100% mission readiness of all assigned vehicles. Plans and schedules vehicle maintenance to ensure maximum transportation availability with minimum downtime. Requests local vendor quotes to submit procurement actions in the maintenance and servicing of all vehicles. Loads, transports and delivers cargo, diplomatic notes, mail and other correspondence.
Security Clearance Required: Local Security Certification or Public Trust
Qualifications and Evaluations
Education: Completion of Primary School is required.
Experience: Two years as chauffeur or other appropriate driving experience is required.
Language: Level 4 (Fuent) speaking/reading/writing Spanish is required.
Level 1 (Rudimentary) speaking/reading/writing English is required. (This will be tested)
Skills and Abilities: Possession of a professional driver’s license, valid to drive passengers (Argentine license type “D”).
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
