At the Service Delivery Center of PwC we are looking for a Consultant for the team providing services to the Advisory Practice (Deals) in PwC Europe.

 

Our team assists both Corporate and Private Equity clients in a wide range of reporting and accounting requirements/complexities driven by M&A activity. We help executives to process and present data in a deal situation while being both compliant with accounting / reporting regulations and deal relevant."

 

Main responsibilities:

 

As a Consultant in CMAAS, you are a vital member of the team supporting transaction-focused projects. In this role, you will work on assignments that span across the entire lifecycle of a M&A deal including preparation of carve-out accounts, supporting sell- and buy-side due diligence activities, post-merger integration and purchase accounting. You will take ownership of sub-parts of deal-related projects and client deliverables such as sell- and buy-side documentations.

 

Requirements:

 

Minimum: Above average Great Point Average (GPA) bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Auditing and 1-2 years work experience in audit or accounting advisory

Solid knowledge of accounting / reporting (IFRS) 

Staying current and applying applicable technical accounting and financial reporting standards, supporting resolution of technical issues through effective analysis of accounting standards/issuesHigh degree of analytical thinking and ability to solve complex problems

Leveraging tools and techniques for research, analysis, and problem solving, including Interpreting data/research, drawing conclusions, and sharing derived perspectives

Experience in preparing IFRS compliant financial statements and reviewing and commenting on financial statements  

Willingness to take ownership for tasks and have proven project management expertise 

Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Ability to work independently on qualitative and quantitative analyses

Team player who is able to engage in international teams

Fluent in English, both verbal and written

Advanced skills in MS-Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
