Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, phones
and other equipment (fax, copier, video conference, etc.) of the company.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot third party and
home grown software applications in use by employees of the company.
- Provide day to day support on computer systems (backup,
SAV, Active Directory, and file server, Nortel VPN client, etc.)
- Work with international offices to troubleshoot IT
related issues (WAN connectivity, home grown applications, etc.)
- Perform regular inventory and documentation work
related to the IT infrastructure of the company.
- Monitor communication links of the company.
- Perform first level troubleshooting and analysis when
communication links go down.
- Work with vendors to fix problems/issues with the IT
infrastructure.
- Work on IT projects assigned by either the team lead or
IT Manager.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Education / Experience
- Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Good understanding of third party applications (Office,
SAV, Adobe, Symantec, etc.).
- Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and other
networking technologies.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment.
- Good troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Exchange, Windows 2003,
Active Directory, etc. is a plus.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Have good work ethics and demonstrated ability to work
under pressure.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Any IT certification is a plus (A+, MCSE, etc.).
