NAVTEQ is the leading provider of digital map data for Vehicle Navigation, Internet & Wireless applications and Enterprise Solutions. Cutting edge applications such as these are part of a growing set of tools that enhance consumer's access to information while they are mobile. We have coined the term ‘informed mobility' to represent this emerging need.

NAVTEQ data is used in virtually all of the leading navigation systems in North America, Europe and many other regions of the world. Our customers rely on NAVTEQ digital map information for use in their applications based on its accuracy, detail and completeness.

We are currently looking for a Director of Product and Market Strategy for our Central and South American product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Product Managers and Product Marketing Strategists to manage the implementation and evolution of NAVTEQ's product portfolio in the region

• Direct innovative strategy and extended competitive advantage for entire NAVTEQ product portfolio in the region

• Maintain close working relationship with NAVTEQ's sales and operation teams to capture key opportunities and consistently deliver superior products

• Work closely with NAVTEQ senior executives to align global product initiatives and corporate strategy with the unique opportunities and market conditions in Central and South America

• Position and develop the region as an area for product and marketing innovation for NAVTEQ

Requirements:

• Background in product management, product development and / or product marketing strategy and at least 10 years related professional experience

· Demonstrated track record driving product innovation in a technically complex environment

(database or software preferred)

• Experience managing a geographically distributed team of high performance individuals

• Advanced degree and/or MBA

• Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese preferred

• Experience with consumer electronics and/or mobile applications a plus

• Background in mapping and navigation systems a plus
